It not often that I get excited about working with a contractor enough to volunteer to write a testimonial. Even more, recommend them to my neighbors (which I have done multiple times). Entering the SMUD Home Performance Program, I was bit nervous about choosing a contractor from the SMUD list. Many of the contractors are HVAC companies looking to sell me equipment.I searched the Web and came across Jeff’s website and I am so glad I did.

Jeff exceeded my expectations both in the effort he put in to explain everything to me, and the time and diligence spent in testing my house. I was tremendously impressed by everyone on his team in completing the recommended work. His team is extremely professional and the services they provide are of the highest quality. They care about success and that is rare today. Have you ever watched a Home Improvement show on cable network and said, “Boy, I wish I could find skilled professionals like that.” Well, with Jeff and his team, you have found the true meaning of excellence. Hi Jeff,

We just wanted to pass on our joy and thank you again for all your hard work on our home! We just got the first bill since all of the energy improvements were done, and it is an amazing $44.12 as compared to $82.01 last year in the same month. We’ve been running our heater whenever we are home for as long as we want (set at 68 degrees – not tropical, but very comfortable), without any reservation, and it went down by half! We are both honestly very surprised by this bill – we have been using the heater at least twice as much as before, and were expecting to be happy with paying the same amount as before as long as it wasn’t higher. Not only are we WAY more comfortable, but we actually are saving significant money.

Jeff Connor was identified by SMUD as a contractor who could provide an energy assessment to improve our 90 year old home. Prior to signing a contract with him we checked his references.  The responses were positive, and we now share the same views.

He carefully explained our options, patiently answering our questions, but let us decide how much work we wanted done. The work began on the day scheduled. The subcontractors working with Jeff were very professional and problem solved with him when necessary. Also they were prompt in arrival and tidied up at the end of the day.

I bought an older house that needs a lot of energy upgrades. I looked up all the contractors on the PG&E approved list. I ended up talking with several companies. From the start, Jeff at Sacramento Building Performance (SBP) seemed to be the best option (knowledgeable, responsive, and very experienced).
