My name is Jeff Connor. I’m a 25 year construction professional experienced in all aspects of the residential and commercial construction industry.
My interest in green building practices started slowly beginning a couple of years ago talking to some friends involved in the enviromental movement.
Looking for a way to make a contribution and to have a positive impact on the lives of my neighbors in Sacramento, I decided to take what I know and love which is building, and look for ways to improve my methods and practices to lessen the impact on the environment.
I believe the foundation of sustainable building has to be energy and water efficiency along with indoor air quality. Those are the strategies that will have the greatest impact in the shortest time frame.
I also want to share simple methods of maintaining and improving the systems in a home to improve it’s level of comfort, health and durability.
It’s been an awesome journey so far. I’ve met some great people and have learned a lot about how buildings work and interact with their environment.
The purpose of this site is to share some of the information I’ve learned and hopefully be the beneficiary of the knowledge and experience of others sharing the same goals.
